Coach journeys

Monday we went on an 8 hour Army wildlife trip out of the Seward Resort. GLORIA WAS SEASICK! About an hour out, it started and I was miserable the whole day. I was told it was a perfect day and there were lots of animals. I did manage to see Stellar sea lions, puffins, lots of birds, some whales, porpoise. I was out of it at the glacier, but heard them calving, I think, but did not see them. One of the women on the trip took pictures of the glacier for me. will post them later.

Yesterday, we moved to Homer. The trip along th Kenai river was spectacular - bright aqua water. The drive parallels the volcanos and mountains in the Ring of Fire. Agistine is still sending up steam.

Spent some time on the Homer Spit. Since we are not fond of fish, this is not the place for us!!!! We did some waterfront dining, watching the seaotter and Jerry saw some eagles land on the beach.

Tomorrow we move to Anchorage to hang out over the 4th of July. This holiday is a big deal here. The Kenai area is the weekend playground for Anchorage. Then on to Talkeetna and DeNali national park.
