Lake Wales, Bok Tower daytrip

Yesterday we drove to Lake Wales to see "the singing tower". This is how I knew of it YEARS ago when my parents would visit it (probably in the late 40s.
It has a fancy visitor's center now, cafe, gift shop, etc.

We had a "chamber of commerce" Floridian day, sun, temperature, breeze and all. The Gardens were in change of season. Summer and Fall flowers were over and Winter not yet started. The garden paths were mulch and bumpy to the wheelchair. I felt off balance from it, so it was slow going.

The chimes, concert, tower and reflecting pond with the lilies and swans and "gold fish" were lovely. Not many visitors so strolling was quiet and private.

All in all a beautiful day (85 miles each way - Orlando rush hour coming home).
