On the Road Again
We left home in FL on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. It is soooooo good to be on the road again. Tuesday and Wednesday were driving days and overnights at Walmart. Thursday morning in Walmart parking lot, I put on the toast and NOTHING - a dead toaster. How nice to run into the store at 6AM and get a new toaster.
We have seen lots of baby animals - calves and colts.
The amazing part of interstate 10 through the Atchafalaya River, "the Atchafalaya Swamp Freeway" in LA was as much fun as always.
We stopped in Lloyd I-10 RV in Orange, TX for some minor repairs and were on our way to Beaumont, TX.
Tonight we are at Gulf Shores RV park, a Passport American park, all the amenities, including free WiFi (what a treat) and Texas shaped Waffles for breakfast tomorrow!- all this for PPA price of $15.
The last 40 miles in LA on I10 are still bone crushing however the rest of it is SOOOO much better.
We will be following our plan of BigBend NP, TX as our first destination.

Off we go!
Tomorrow will be the day we start out on our Alaskan adventure. All is packed.
We will ramble out to Yosemite, plans made on the way. We are 3 weeks later that our original trip planned.
Internet connections may be sparse and pictures may be too, until I get set up and have a procedure.

Final Preparation
I have been making spreadsheets for diesel fuel, gas, camping, attraction entry fees, miles driven, etc.
Now to the chiropractor for last minute chiropractic and attitude adjustments.
