Now we are home for a while. 

 

Today, Gloria drove the Motorhome to Ormond Beach (42 miles) for touch up paint.

The trip was wonderful. Practised using mirrors and to watch Ms Honda in the back up moniter, so she is well within the right white line on the side of the road. Also watched to make sure she had made the turn before straightening Mr. Cross Country DP.

Check that direction signals are OFF when turn is complete. On wide turn, they do not turn off automatically.

Using small and larger rear mirrors - Small for overview of what is coming and large for what is close.

When an 18 wheeler truck is approaching from the rear to pass on the left, be prepared to steer a little left towards the truck. It will push you right (due to his and my high profile). Also true on a large motorhome. This does not happen as much on a Class C size truck.

Rest your elbows, as much as possible, on the arm rests to hold your arms steady and not let them flop around!
